Icebreakers
No materials
Short games for the start of a meeting, a training, a retreat or a party where people are still arriving and nobody is talking yet. Everything here runs in under ten minutes, most need no materials at all, and several start without you — Human Bingo in particular works as people trickle in, which makes it the best answer to the awkward first fifteen minutes. They are filtered to the ones that are safe for a work crowd, because an icebreaker that asks for personal disclosure can land badly with people who have just met.

Common questions
What is a good two-minute icebreaker for a meeting?
Hep Hep Hooray needs no space or materials and runs in two minutes. Two Truths and a Lie works for smaller groups and starts actual conversations.
What icebreakers work for people who have never met?
Human Bingo and Common Ground. Both give people a reason to approach a stranger with something specific to say, which is the hard part.
