Before you start
Place two chairs back to back in view of every guest. Each partner takes off their shoes and holds one of their own and one of their partner's.
- 1The host reads a question that starts with 'Who…' — for example, who is the better cook?
- 2Without looking at each other, both partners raise the shoe of the person they think the answer is.
- 3The crowd reacts to agreement or disagreement; there are no points needed.
- 4Finish with a sweet question everyone can enjoy, like who said 'I love you' first.

What to say3
- 1“No peeking! Backs together, shoes up when I ask.”
- 2“Who is the better driver? Shoes up… now!”
- 3“Ohhh — they do NOT agree on that one! Let's talk about it later!”
Host tips3
- Show the question list to someone close to the couple first. The host who goes risqué in front of the grandparents and the priest is a wedding story people tell for years.
- Keep to about 15 questions. After ten minutes the novelty is gone; stop while it's still funny.
- Have the couple take their shoes off and swap one each before they walk up — fumbling with buckles and straps on stage is dead air.
Variants2
Anniversary round
Bring up several long-married couples together. The 40-years-married couple usually steals the show.
