Before you start
Teams gather in their own area with a clear floor space to lay things end to end.
- 1Three minutes to build the longest continuous line from items on your persons.
- 2Items must touch end to end with no gaps.
- 3Nothing from the venue — only what the team brought or is wearing.
What to say3
- 1“Three minutes — the longest line wins!”
- 2“Anything you have on you counts. Shoes, belts, IDs — all fair game!”
- 3“Time's up! Don't add anything more — we're measuring now!”
Host tips3
- Do not mention that people can lie down. Let one team figure it out — the moment the others notice is the best part of the game.
- Measure with your own strides so the judging is visibly fair and fast.
- Works at any headcount, needs nothing, and scales to a hundred people. Keep it as your emergency backup.
Variants2
People included
Team members may lie down as part of the line. Length doubles instantly.
Themed
Only items of one colour, or only things that start with a given letter.
Safety1
- Remind people not to remove anything they would regret in front of colleagues.

If this one dies early3
- Hep Hep HoorayHost shouts “hep hep” and players raise their hands, or “hooray” and they clap — but only if the host's own hands match.
- Tug of WarTwo teams pull opposite ends of a rope; the first to drag the center marker over their line wins.
- Human KnotA circle of players grabs random hands across the middle, then untangles into one circle without letting go.
